The Brazilian mezzo-soprano made her début as Rosina in Rossini's IL Barbieri di Siviglia, with scenic direction by Enzo Dara. Since then she has been performing at the most important theatres of Brazil. She sang the main role of Bizet's Carmen in productions that made her the most requested singer of this role all over the country (São Paulo, Manaus, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba). Her stage performances also includes the roles of Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Lola (Cavalleria Rusticana), Haensel (Haensel and Gretel), Suzuki (Madama Butterfly), Katisha (The Mikado),Meg Page (Falstaff), Emilia (Rossini's Otello), Romeo (I Capuleti ed I Montecchi), Giulietta (Tales of Hoffmann), Marguerite ( Faust's Damnation), Cenerentola (Cenerentola), Aksinya (Lady Macbeth of Mtzensk), Teresa (Magdalena from Villa-Lobos), Miss Jessel (The Turn of the Screw),Dido (Dido and Aeneas).

 

In 2005 she was Suzuki in Puccini's Madama Butterfly at the Royal Opera Canada. She sang in the world premiere of "O Cientista", opera composed by Silvio Barbato, in the role of "Mulher" and also in the world premiere of "Poranduba", composed by Edmundo Villani-Cortes, in the role of "Mãe", as part of the  Amazonas Opera Festival.

 

 

Her concert repertoire includes Vivaldi's "Gloria", Haendel's "Messiah", Verdi's "Requiem", Mendelssohn's "Lobgesang", Beethoven's "Symphony No.9" and "Mass in C major", Mozart's "Great Mass in C minor" and "Requiem", Mahler's 2th Symphony, among others. Her solo recitals also includes songs from Baroque period and Brazilian songs.

 

In 2010 she made her début in the musical theatre as Lady Thiang in Rodgers and Hammerstein's "The King and I",stage directed by Jorge Takla.

 

The singer has studied voice with Leilah Farah (Brazil) and Pier Miranda Ferraro (Italy), and worked her repertoire with Vania Pajares and Abel Rocha.

Currently she prepares her repertoire with Ricardo Ballestero.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Luciana Bueno foi aluna de Leilah Farah e Pier Miranda Ferraro (Itália), tendo

estudado repertório operístico com Abel Rocha e Vânia Pajares. Atualmente

desenvolve seu repertório com Ricardo Ballestero.

Chamou a atenção do público quando venceu o tradicional concurso Jovens

Solistas, promovido pela OSESP, cantando sob regência do maestro Eleazar de

Carvalho.

Atuou nas óperas Don Giovanni (Donna Elvira), Il Barbiere di Siviglia, como

Rosina, sob direção de Enzo Dara, O Mikado ( Katisha), João e Maria, de

Humperdinck (João), Os Contos de Hoffmann ( Giulietta), Falstaff (Meg Page),

Cavalleria Rusticana ( Lola), Otello, de Rossini (Emilia), A Danação de Fausto

(Marguerite), I Capuleti ed I Montecchi (Romeo), La Cenerentola (Cenerentola), Lady

Macbeth de Mtzenski (Aksinya), Magdalena de Villa-Lobos (Teresa), O Menino e os

Sortilégios , de Ravel (Mãe, Xícara Chinesa e Libélula), The Turn of the Screw, de

Britten ( Miss Jessel), Dido ( Dido e Aeneas) .Participou da estréia da ópera brasileira 0 Cientista, de Silvio

Barbato, no Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro, onde cantou o papel da Mulher.

Participou da estréia de Poranduba, ópera de Edmundo Villani-Cortes, no papel da

Mãe, no XI Festival Amazonas de Ópera. Apresentou-se na Royal Opera Canadá

como Suzuki em Madame Butterfly.

Seu repertório sinfônico inclui participações como solista no Gloria de Vivaldi,

Missa em Dó Menor  e Requiem de Mozart, Messias de Häendel, Requiem de Verdi, Missa em Dó

Maior e Nona Sinfonia de Beethoven, Lobgesang de Mendelssohn,Segunda Sinfonia de Mahler,  além de recitais

solo que incluem também música brasileira e barroca. Dentro de seu repertório, no

entanto, deve ser dado um destaque especial à sua interpretação de Carmen, na

ópera de Bizet, da qual se tornou intérprete bastante requisitada, apresentando-se em

montagens no Teatro Alfa, Teatro Amazonas, Palácio das Artes, Theatro São Pedro,

Teatro Guaíra, Theatro Municipal de São Paulo e do Rio de Janeiro. Em 2010 estreou

em Teatro Musical como Lady Thiang na peça O Rei e Eu. Em maio de 2012 foi

solista junto à Osesp nas Sete Canções Populares Espanholas de Manuel de Falla,

sob regência de Eduardo Portal.
